SAVANNAH - Verdine (Bea) Neville Veale, 92, died Friday, September 2, 2016, under the care of Hospice Savannah.
Bea was born in Glennville, GA on March 18, 1924 to Bennie Wilkerson and Levy Kicklighter Neville and moved to Savannah as a young child. She attended the Savannah public schools and was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Nichols and brother, Bennie Eldred Neville.
Surviving are two daughters, including Diane Veale Jervis; 5 grandchildren, including Richard W. Jervis, Junior (Kelly) and Amy E. Donahue (Stephen); four great-grandchildren, Caroline Elizabeth Jervis, Meredith Ann Jervis, James Owen Donahue, and Ellie Brooke Donahue; a sister, Sarah Lanier (Sally) Ernst; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
